Diatom Research is published by the International Society of Diatom Research . The society aims to promote all branches of diatom studies throughout the world. In addition to publishing it's journal, the society also facilitates the exchange of information amongst diatomists by organizing a biennial conference and publishing the proceedings of this conference.
