“Contemporary Insights into the Latest Achievements of Ag₃PO₄-Based Photocatalyst in Organic Transformations”

ABSTRACT

Silver orthophosphate (Ag₃PO₄) and its analogues based on metal oxides are promising materials for improving the photocatalytic activity of organic transformations. This study provides a concise overview of the distinctive characteristics and diverse range of uses of Ag₃PO₄ and its composites in the field of photocatalysis. This discussion concerns the synthesis of Ag₃PO₄ and its composites with metal oxides along with an examination of its structural and electrical properties. This is the first study on Ag₃PO₄ based catalyzed organic transformations and highlights the significance of identifying the optimal settings for these variables to enhance catalytic activity. The main goal of this study was to determine how well Ag₃PO₄ and its different forms work as photocatalysts for various organic changes. These changes include the creation of heterocyclic compounds and oxidation, coupling, esterification, and reduction reactions. This review focuses on elucidating the mechanisms underlying their ability to utilize light energy effectively for various chemical transformations. This investigation using Ag₃PO₄ based photocatalyst in the future may help the scientific community in the synthesis of various organic compounds.
