Aims and scope

Acta Oto-Laryngologica is a truly international journal for translational otolaryngology and head- and neck surgery. The journal presents cutting-edge papers on clinical practice, clinical research and basic sciences. Acta also bridges the gap between clinical and basic research.

Acta Oto-Laryngologica is the official journal for the European Federation of Oto-Rhino-Laryngological Societies (EUFOS). The journal also has a close cooperation with the Collegium Oto-Rhino-Laryngologicum Amicitiae Sacrum (CORLAS) since the foundation of the Collegium in 1926. Acta Oto-Laryngologica is also endorsed by the 301 PLA General Hospital in Beijing, China. Acta’s endorsement with the hospital is headed by Professor Shiming Yang at the Department of Otolaryngology and Head- and Neck Surgery.


The journal’s international editorial board represents more than 30 countries and the board members play an important and proactive role to develop and further improve the quality and standards of the journal.
