Society information

Founded in 1926, The Society of British Neurological Surgeons is one of the world’s oldest national neurosurgical societies.

The Society promotes safe and effective neurosurgical treatment for patients throughout Great Britain and Ireland and has developed the National Neurosurgical Audit Programme. It also works with the Getting It Right First Time project, which aims to improve patient care and reduce costs in all specialties.

The Society offers membership to neurosurgeons, trainees, and practitioners in Great Britain, Ireland, and abroad. Membership benefits include online access to the British Journal of Neurosurgery. Membership information including additional benefits, fees and how to join can be found on the society website.
