Journal of the Indian Ocean Region ( JIOR ) is the flagship journal of the Indian Ocean Research Group Inc. (IORG).
IORG is an Indian Ocean Regional academic network. The key objective of IORG is to initiate a policy-oriented dialogue, in the true spirit of partnership, among governments, industries, NGOs and communities, towards realizing a shared, peaceful, stable and prosperous future for the Indian Ocean region. IORG is currently based at the University of Adelaide; Curtin University, Australia; and South Asian University, India; but members come from across the Indian Ocean Rim.
Membership of IORG is open to all individuals, institutions and corporations who have a firm commitment to the aims and goals of the Group. The annual cost of IORG membership is as follows, and includes an annual subscription to Journal of the Indian Ocean Region .
