Indole Alkaloids from Aristotelia chilensis (Mol.) Stuntz

Abstract

Six indole alkaloids were isolated from Aristotelia chilensis. 2- epi -Aristotelone, only known as a synthetic product, was found for the first time as a natural product. This compound, as well as serratoline, are described for the first time in A. chilensis. Aristoteline, aristotelinone, aristone, and aristotelone, previously reported from this species were also isolated in this study.
