Abstract
Photo-diode-array detector-assisted RP- and NP-HPLC analysis of a methanol extract of the seeds of Centaurea moschata L. (Compositae) led to the isolation of a novel steroidal glucoside which, on the basis of spectroscopic evidence, was identified as (20 R) -15a-hydroxy-8ß, 9a, 14a, 17a-pregn-4-en-3-one 20- O -ß-D-Glucopyranoside [1].
