Abstract
Two hundred and four species of traditional Chinese herbal medicines belonging to 80 families were collected from Yunnan Province in People’s Republic of China and tested for antifungal activities using a Pyricularia oryzae bioassay. Twenty-six herbal medicines from 23 families were active against P. oryzae and the ethanol extract of Dioscorea camposita (Dioscoreaceae) exhibited the most bioactivity among all the tested samples.
