Notes

1 Interestingly, contemporaneously with Owen’s fine article a timely related article (Bailey, Winchester & Ellis Citation2023 in press) provides similar analyses of the learning and judgement making involved in the safety-driven practice of commercial marine navigation. The similarities as well as the differences between these two vital practices are very illuminating.
