Pages 164-166 | Published online: 09 Jul 2009

Abstract

When incubated at 25° or 37°C for 1–2 days and then placed at 6–9°C for 5–10 days, 29 strains of Candida tropicalis consistently produced terminal bodies similar to chlamydospores. The spores varied in size and shape and many resembled those formed by C. albicans.
