The isolation of Histoplasma capsulatum, Cryptococcus neoformans and Blastomyces dermatitidis from the same natural site

Abstract

Blastomyces dermatitidis was isolated from 2 adjacent old chicken houses and reported in 1964. Continuous study of this site for 7 years resulted in the isolation of Cryptococcus neoformans on one occasion and Histoplasma capsulatum from 40 samples collected at 27 different times.

Blastomyces dermatitidis fue aislado de 2 viejos gallineros y fueron publicados en 1964. Durante 7 anos de continuados estudios de estos 2 gallineros resultaron en el aislamiento de Cryptococcus neoformans en una ocasion y de Histoplasma capsulatum en 40 pruebas colectadas en 27 veces diferante.
