Facile Synthesis of Nitriles from Aromatic Aldehydes Using DMSO‐I₂

Abstract

Nitriles have been prepared from different aromatic aldehydes by a one‐pot process using hydroxylamine hydrocloride and molecular iodine in the presence of dimethylsulphoxide.
