4‐Substituted ortho‐(Silylated phenyl)sydnones via a Lithiation‐Induced Silicon Migration and Subsequent Reaction with Electrophiles

Abstract

Treatment of 3‐(2‐bromophenyl)‐4‐silylsydnones 1 with n‐butyllithium effects rearrangement to the corresponding ortho‐silylphenylsydnone anions 2, which can be trapped with electrophiles to afford 4‐substituted ortho‐silylphenylsydnones 4a–h in 41–89% yield.
