Facile Strategy for the Synthesis of Furans Utilizing Silver(I)-Promoted Addition/Oxidative Cyclization of 1,3-Dicarbonyl Compounds and Alkynoates

Abstract

The addition/oxidative cyclization of alkynoates with 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds in the presence of Ag(I) leads to polysubstituted furans. The reaction corresponds to the construction of a furan fragment, which also provides a new way to form the C-O bond.
