Abstract

A green synthetic approach for the expedite construction of thirty six thioether linked 1,2,3-triazoles was carried out using Cellulose supported CuI nanoparticles in water. The structure of synthesized triazoles was explicated by spectroscopic techniques like FTIR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, HRMS and evaluated for in vitro antibacterial potential against Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae. Most of synthesized triazole derivatives exhibited average to good inhibitory activity. However, compound 6x showed appreciable potent activity against the tested bacterial strains. In silico ADME analysis showed the good bioavailability of the compounds.
