Abstract

Lustig and Katscher¹ have prepared aniline-2,4,6-tri-sulphonylchloride by heating aniline with excess chlorosulphonic acid and sodium chloride. This is not an easy process to operate on account of the exotherm and frothing involved, with the final reaction mixture being in the form of an unmanageable total solid.
