A New Method for the Synthesis of N, N'-Dimethyl Diazacoronands: High-Pressure Alkylation of α, ω-Secondary Diamines with α, ω-Di-Iodo Compounds

Abstract

α, ω-Secondary diamines react under high-pressure conditions with a, α, ω-di-iodo compounds to give the respective diazacoronand dihydroiodides in high yields and their subsequent neutralization followed by distillation affords pure N, N'-dimethyl diazacoronands.
