The Preparation of Substituted 5H-Pyrazolo[1,5-c] [1,3]-Benzoxazin-5-ones from the Trianions of Certain Hydroxyphenylcarboethoxyhydrazones

Abstract

The trianions of the carboethoxyhydrazones of o-and p-hydroxyacetophenones and related materials were prepared in an excess of lithium diisopropylamide (LDA), condensed with methyl salicylate or methyl 4-methoxysalicylate, and acid-cyclized to substituted pyrazolobenzoxazinones.
