Abstract

A simple stereospecific synthesis of (E)-11, 13-hexadecenyn-1-yl acetate, alcohol and aldehyde is described, based upon hydroalumination of a ω -terbutoxy alkyne, followed by palladium-catalysed cross coupling reaction.
