Abstract

Direct nitrolysis of 3-substituted azetidinium hydrochlorides with acetyl nitrate gives cyclic nitramines. Compounds 1-nitro-3-azetidol nitrate (3a) and methanesulfonate (3b) and 1-nitroazetidine-3-carboxylic acid (3c) were prepared.
