Abstract
Heterocyclic keene aminals 1 or 2 reacted with 2, 4, 6-trimethylbenzonitrile oxide (3) to afford the 3, 5-diaryl-4-(2-imidazolinyl)-isoxazoles 4 or 3, 5-diaryl-4-(2-tetrahydropyrimidinyl)-isoxazoles 5. The mechanism of their formation was discussed.
