Titanium(IV) Isopropoxide Mediated One-Step Synthesis of 1-Ferrocenylethylamine from Acetylferrocene: An Alternative Approach to Ferrocenyl bis-phosphines

Abstract

A preparatively efficient one-step synthesis of 1-ferrocenylethylamine via reductive amination of commercially available acetylferrocene using titanium(IV) isopropoxide and sodium borohydride is described.
