Molybdenum Catalyzed β-Selective Epoxidation of Cholesterol Esters with Molecular Oxygen+

Abstract

Molybdenyl(VI) acetylacetonate catalyses the conversion of various cholesterol esters into the corresponding β-epoxides in good yields with the combined use of molecular oxygen and i-butyraldehyde at room temperature.
