Highly Efficient One-Step Preparation of 1-Ferrocenylbenzylamine via Titanium(IV) Isopropoxide Mediated Reductive Amination of Benzoylferrocene

Abstract

An efficient single-step synthesis of 1-ferrocenylbenzylamine, an effective chiral template in asymmetric four component peptide synthesis and immediate precursor to a variety of chiral ferrocenylphosphine ligands has been developed via reductive amination of benzoylferrocene using titanium(IV) isopropoxide and sodium borohydride.
