Abstract

Stereoselective synthesis of (4R, 5S)-2,2-dimethyl-5-[(Z)-2-pentenyl]-1,3-dioxolane-4-carboxaldehyde starting from (4S)-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolane-4-carboxaldehyde, is described.
