Abstract

The selective synthesis of ω-phtalimidoalkyl meth(acrylic) esters was obtained in 71 to 81% yields under phase transfer catalysis from corresponding bromoalkyl (meth)acrylates and potassium phtalimide. Chloro-derivatives gave the same products in the presence of catalytic amount of potassium iodide.
