Abstract
The Rh4(CO)12 catalysed reaction with CO and H2 of 1-phenyl- and 3-phenyl allylamine gives 5-phenyl- and 3-phenyl-2-pyrrolidinone respectively, in good yield. A reasonable reaction pathway of the carbonylation reaction is presented.
