Abstract

A convenient method for the preparation of a bicyclo[3,3,3]undecane derivative via the Beckmann rearrangement of bicyclo[3,3,2]decane-9-one is described.

Notes

The crystrals of 4 are colorless prisms. The crystal structure consists of two molecules and a single water molecule per asymmetric unit (monoclinic, P2₁/n). There are some disorders on the two non-amide arms. There is no disorder in the -NH-CO-CH₂- arm
