Abstract
Chiral amino acids are esterified in high yield and purity at room temperature by stirring with amberlyst-15 in alcohols

The amino esters were confirmed by comparison of their IR, NMR, TLC and specific rotations6 with the samples prepared by the known routes2
For comparison of [α]D, amino-esters were transformed into corresponding hydrochlorides
