Abstract

Heterocyclic ketene aminals 1 and 2 reacted efficiently with chloramine-T (N-chloro-p-toluenesulfonamide sodium salt) 3 to give the corresponding a-carbon chlorinated products 4 and 5 in good to excellent yield.
