Abstract

Sulfonylimines and activated bisaminal derivatives can be easily synthesized using aldehydes and sulfonamides, carbamates, ureas or amides. Such precursors can be transformed in good yield into (3-amino acid precursors by using Lewis acid and/or base catalyzed reactions.
