Abstract

The current phenomena deal with the magnetohydrodynamic flow of viscous liquid past an expanding sheet for the consideration of thermal buoyancy, additional heat source/sink and chemical reaction. The sheet is also embedded within a permeable medium, and the heat transport property will be affected by the convective heating boundary conditions. The most recent phenomena deal with the impression of Brownian and thermophoresis because of the cross-diffusion. Suitable transformation is deployed to renovate the nonlinear governing problems into coupled nonlinear ordinary differential equations. The numerical technique is adopted by retaining ‘Runge–Kutta fourth-order’ with shooting for the solution of this transformed modelled problem, and this is obtained by deploying built-in bvp5c code in MATLAB. Numerical simulation is presented for the various profiles and rate coefficients considering the different contributions of the parameters and deployed through graphs and tables. However, the major outcomes are as follows: thermal buoyancy favours the smooth enhancement in the velocity profile within the entire domain; the consideration of the convective boundary condition favours the soft augmentation in the fluid temperature.
