Charbons de bois recueillis à l'intérieur de vases funéraires. Approche ethnobotanique

Résumé

Des vases funéraires (XIIIème au XVIIème siècle) furent exhumés au cours de fouilles de sites religieux angevins contenant des charbons de bois et ont été analysés dans une optique ethnobotanique. Cette étude a permis de mieux apprécier quelques aspects de ce rite funéraire. De plus, le calibre du combustible ainsi que les modes de gestion du bois ont pu être appréhendés.

Summary

Seventy funeral potterie (12th-17th) found in cemetaries in Anjou were partly filled with charcoals which were analysed from an ethnobotanical prospect. This study yield informations not about only funeral practices but about size of combustible and wood manadgement (pollarding and coppicing).
