1 Smith is a well-known scholar of Skryabin, having published many articles and books on his works.

2 Riemann elaborated his Funktionstheorie in 1893 (Riemann Citation1893), and it was later developed by Wilhelm Maler (Citation1931) and Diether de la Motte (Citation1976).

Federico Favali

Federico Favali graduated in 2004 in piano and in 2008 in musicology and studied composition in Italy, England, United States, and Argentina. His music has been performed at may international festivals. In 2014 his opera The Fall of the House of Usher premiered at the Teatro del Giglio of Lucca (Italy). As a musicologist, he mainly deals with the musical analysis of contemporary music. His fields of research are the music of György Ligeti, the music of Thomas Adès, the relationships between mathematics and music, and the work of Jorge Luis Borges.
