A new species of the Plebejus samudra (Moore, 1874) (Lycaenidae: Polyommatinae) group from Afghanistan

Abstract

A new species of the Plebejus samudra (Moore, 1874) group is described from the vicinities of Kabul in eastern Afghanistan. It differs from the geographically adjacent species in colouration and characters of the male genitalia, mainly the valva and aedeagus.
