5-hydroxytryptamine as a Radiation Protective Substance in Animals

Summary

This is a report describing the protection of 5-hydroxytryptamine against the effects of ionizing radiation among mice. The results show a good degree of protection if 5-hydroxytryptamine is applied before irradiation. The effect is greater than that found among other substances known to-day.
