Summary

The effect of independent variations of first and second x-ray doses on the magnitude of the initial rise in split-dose x-ray recovery curves is examined. Clear relationships between these doses and the recovery-curve rises are obtained. The recovery-curve rise may be simply related to the original survival curve shoulder.
