In CHEF Electrophoresis a Linear Induction of Dsb Corresponds to a Nonlinear Fraction of Extracted DNA with Dose

Pages 7-12 | Received 12 May 1989, Accepted 14 Aug 1989, Published online: 03 Jul 2009

Summary

A theory for DNA double-strand break (dsb) analysis by pulsed field electro-phoresis is presented, based on the size distribution of DNA fragments, which converts an induction of dsb linear with dose into a nonlinear fraction of extractable DNA, in agreement with experimental observations.
