Drug Education in England

Pages 353-360 | Published online: 10 Jul 2009

Abstract

During the 1990s there have been many government initiatives to tackle drug misuse. Education and prevention has been a major area for funding. Many of the programmes have involved monitoring and research, the results of which have been made available to schools in order to help them raise the standards of their provision. However, there are still many schools where policy and practice could be improved.
