1 However, the husband of Kalyani in the film mentions that the child (Surya) born out of wedlock is due to ‘someone’s sin’ for which the then minor Kalyani is not responsible. Also, in a conversation with Selvaraj Velayutham in 2021, he insightfully mentioned that class is used to affirm caste in Thalapathi.
