On Comparative Values of Indian and Chinese Medicinal Plants

Abstract

Fiftyeight plant species, commonly used as crude drugs in Indian and Chinese system of medicine, are listed in this paper. Distinctive use of each species is recorded. These crude drug plants are commonly found in the drug-stores, (Chinese crude drugs in Malaya, while Indian crude drugs in all Indian bazars). Geographical distribution of each species, as found in India, is also given.
