Abstract

The top-line findings, arranged by date, from major national pain surveys conducted between 1996 and 2004 are reviewed. This review also includes Pain in Maryland-a survey conducted by the American Pain Foundation and the Maryland Pain Initiative, which is the first and only statewide survey of pain.
