Abstract

The palladium-catalyzed coupling reaction of 3,7-bis(N,N-dimethyl-amino)-10H-dibenz [b,e] iodinium iodide with 1-alkynes in the presence of carbon monoxide takes place under mild conditions and offers iodine substituted α,β-acetylenic ketone compounds in good yields.
