Abstract

An efficient diastereoselective synthesis of the conformationally restricted aldehydes cis-2,6-dimethylcyclohexane-cis-carboxaldehyde or cis-2,6-dimethylcyclohexane-trans-carboxaldehyde from the same precursor is described.
