Intramolecular Nucleophilic Substitution of Hydrogen in (Quinoxalinyl‐2)aminovinyl Derivatives as a New Approach to Pyrrolo‐ and Indolo[2,3‐b]quinoxalines

Abstract

Pyrrolo[2,3‐b]‐ and indolo[2,3‐b]quinoxalines were obtained by the reaction of 2‐aminoquinoxalines with ketones followed by the intramolecular displacement of hydrogen at C‐3 in (quinoxalinyl‐2)aminovinyl derivatives.
