Abstract

This article details one therapist's struggle with the impact of working in a profession that is intensely personal. Implicit boundary issues, professional vs. personal life, countertransference, secondary traumatization, and the ambiguities and oddities that only therapists face are discussed and examined by Ms. Lauer.
