Patent focus on drug delivery: January - June 2000

Abstract

There has been considerable activity in many areas of drug delivery over the past six months. Patents have been filed for innovation in system design and formulation, and in prophylactic and therapeutic strategies for drug delivery via a number of routes. Many of these systems claim to have potential for drug targeting and enhanced mucosal drug delivery. This brief update focuses on recent developments in patents on drug delivery systems.
