Abstract

A 34-year-old pregnant woman with retroverted uterus and suffering from acute attacks of urinary retention in the first trimester of pregnancy is described. The attacks of retention were caused by the enlarged retroverted uterus associated with a 1 × 1 cm, well differentiated papilliferous carcinoma in the right side of the trigone. The urinary symptom disappeared after resection of the tumor.
