Abstract
The Acta was founded in 1918 as the successor of the äNordisk Tidskrift for Oto-rhino-laryngologiä, which had appeared for one year in the thrée Scandinavian languages. The journal now became the organ of the oto-laryngologists of the four Scandinavian countries and the Netherlands. It assumed a truly international character, being published in English, French, and German.
