Pages 45-65 | Published online: 08 Jul 2009

Abstract

This report is not an account of the development of the fenestration operation, which is well known to every otologist. It may suffice to state that the results have gradually become consolidated. Shambaugh divided cases of otosclerosis into three classes, A, B and C, which classification was widely accepted and has now been applied also to the material for the mobilization operation.
